Forest school originates from Denmark, where studies have shown that children who attend prior to starting formal education have stronger social and communication skills.
They have the skills to work in groups efficiently and effectively with high self-esteem and better self-awareness of their own abilities.
Children who engage in forest school are more willing to take risks in other areas of their learning and life. Academic achievement is shown to be higher for these children.
