Kat
Hi I’m Kat and this is my little helper Ava! I'm a mother of three, primary school teacher and qualified Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator with a passion for learning and exploring our natural environment.
I have worked in Early Years for 20 Years and have seen how children thrive when outside. Since working in a primary school and specialising in supporting children with additional needs I have really come to value learning outside and how this can help these children as well as the benefits to all.

My husband, our three children and I can often be found exploring the local woods with our two crazy Springbatt dogs, building dens and having Nerf gun battles!
I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, and found a love for camping when adventuring in Australia.
Nicola and I have been friends for over 20 years, since studying childcare together.
Nicola
Hi I’m Nicola, I have worked in early years for 20 years and I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology.
I have spent over 7 years working as a special needs nanny and my daughter is neurodiverse and has additional needs so I have a strong understanding of supporting additional needs, I sign Makaton and have lots of experience with different speech and language difficulties as well has physical and learning delays.

I fell in love with outdoors while working in the Isle of Man and now woodland areas are my happy place. I love being creative with arts and crafts and will be bringing this passion into our Wilderness Explorers sessions.
Both of us hold a full Paediatric first aid qualification, a Level 3 certificate in Forest School Leadership and are fully DBS checked.
